The Warning Woods is a collection of original horror fiction by me, Miles Tritle. I prey upon your empathy and try to leave you feeling unsettled well after the story ends. I don't write to any particular sub-genre of horror, just whatever inspires me in the moment. From ghosts to slashers and monsters both real and in your head, my stories are about anything that will get under your skin and perhaps make you question reality. If you dare, join me in this exploration of terror by subscribing to The Warning Woods.
A little about myself (Miles Tritle): I have written over two hundred short stories and two novels. My novels include The Collins House and Mister Secrets, which are available in print, ebook, and audiobook formats from Amazon and Audible. I made a paperback collection of Tales from the Warning Woods and a paperback of my story The Owl available on Amazon as well. Really, I'm just a guy who loves horror and loves to write. It turns out that's all you need.

Each episode is mostly ads and told in such a monotonous manner that I don't realize the twist or jump-scare moment has happened until a few seconds after. Just put some emphasis on your words and they would be good!
why does the dad randomly refer to the dog as female for a segment half way through; how does this not get caught during recording or editing
so good!!!
this is written in 3rd person limited pov (nick's) so it's very jarring when his parents are referred to as "her husband" and "his wife" and at least once the narration slips into first person "we weren't looking at". show needs an editor or proofreader
very cool description of the aliens 👽
grant is so stupid it strains the suspension of disbelief
loved both parts
how in the world did he think he'd get away with it when he texted the guy to come over and both families knew where he'd be and if he was that sloppy of a killer how was he not caught earlier
like that liam neeson movie but make it torture porn
wut
It’s always an ACCIDENT when someone dies, how typical and not scary, should have been an evil little murderous shit
What a novel idea! And I LOVE IT. A story that was well written, with not a hint of over the top, no language filth, and a family that was a family! Most of all the word "love" about the family. Dare I say.. the dark side finally took a back seat to a haunting story. I wish and want this life to become more nice for everyone and will say this til my end. And if this sounds over the top, I'll tell you what, it's a lot brighter than not wanting good for everyone. Kudos to the author. 👍

Quickly became a favorite podcast of mine.
It was the first episode that I listened to and can't express how much I enjoyed it. I could picture every seen, hear every sound and even smell things. The way the tension was built up is worth a feature film. And You know how to end a story! I loved every word of it,gonna listen to all of them. Thanks.
Reminds me of the Boys and Girls Home in Nebraska, this dude always has that realistic feel to his stories, what gives it the FEAR quality!!
this podcast has the best stories, all very well written and scary, badass man!!!
Awesome story, I remember those days, the days of the Squalling Infant, how unendurable it seems in the wee hours of the morning, no sleep, work at 7am, and crying hasn't ceased for hours, or when everyone else gets to enjoy the fireworks but the one's with the New Born. However, if you manage to make it through with a surviving child, and a little less sanity it IS worth it in the end. Don't shake THE BABY!!
wow 😳😲, THAT was a truly badass story, I tip my beanie to ya!! Great horror, I just subscribed to this podcast and I am very glad to have found it!!
